Roam: A Travel App
An app to plan and record trips - solo or with others
UI/UX Design, Mobile App Design // designed using Figma & Illustrator
The task with this project was to create a fictional app from scratch in order to work through creating a mood board, run through the quadrant exercise, create a user flow, and then go through the rest of the design process.
As someone who loves to travel and explore new places (as well as visiting old ones!), I wanted to focus on an app that caters toward this. The primary features of the app are to explore a location, save places of interest within that location, and create an itinerary for it.
Additionally, I thought making the app have a social component (without being a social media app) for planning a trip with others would be neat, because many people often don’t travel alone.
Navigating to the full itinerary for a particular trip
Viewing the drawer to explore curated places in the area
Viewing a user-created list and selecting a place from it to view more information
Moodboard
This project started by creating a moodboard with design inspiration from the app.
The theme, of course, was travel.
